Ladies Only Homesteading Event

Join us for a transformative full day of hands-on learning and communal homesteading women fun at the Lady 'Steaders weekend intensive homestead event in the breathtaking Hocking Hills region of Ohio on October 25 sponsored by Heritage Skills USA. This event is especially for women who are passionate about homesteading, foraging, natural remedies, sustainability, canning, butchering, and raising their own food, and permaculture and are eager to deepen their skills and knowledge in an inspiring and empowering environment - making them far more prepared for uncertain times. 

You must purchase an admission ticket to attend classes. Class registration tickets are open now, more courses will be added throughout the summer.

Your receipt will serve as your admission ticket and class registration. Instructors will also have a roster of students who registered for their classes.

Experience a wide array of workshops and activities designed to help you master essential homesteading skills, from gardening and food preservation to livestock care, sustainable living practices, gardening, and making the most of the living space for  herbalism and homestead handicrafts. You will register for individual classes prior to the Lady 'Steaders homesteading gathering. Some classes carry an additional fee above the general admission ticket price because they are a make and take style course that sends you home with a finished product or a kit to use on your homestead.

In addition to the main event, don't miss the Heritage Explorers Fest hands-on day on October 25 for children aged 4-17, where young ones can learn valuable heritage skills and connect with nature in a fun and engaging way.

Join us for the second annual Heritage Explorers Fest for homeschool children. We will bring American history to life while teaching the children and teens in hands-on interactive classes. The Pioneer Era is the United States history period focus for the event this year. Tickets are on sale now and class registration is now open!

The American history home schooling field trip will take place from 9 am to 5 pm at the Vinton County Fairgrounds Fern Kruger Building and outdoor areas, on October25, 2024 - and includes an off-site Amish Farm Tour and wagon ride Experience too!
