Heritage Skills USA Terms Of Service

By visiting and using the Heritage Skills USA website  and attending the event you are representing that you have completely and fully read, understood, and agree to adhering to all of the provisions detailed below. If you cannot or will not represent that you have fully understood, read, and agree to all of the following provisions, do not purchase a ticket or attend Heritage Skills USA events.


Website Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, And Presented Content Limitations.

  • All of the content on the Heritage Skills USA website is presented and accepted as being in "as is" condition. The Heritage Skills USA, its operators, owners, as well as paid and volunteer staff shall not be held liable for the accuracy of the website  or for information which may or is provided by a third party.
  • Heritage Skills USA shall not be liable for any damages whatsoever arising out of or in connection with your use of this website.  This includes, without limitation, direct loss, loss of business or profits (whether or not the loss of such profits was foreseeable, and whether or not you have advised Heritage Skills USA of the possibility of such potential loss), damage caused to your computer, computer software, systems and programs and the data thereon, and any other direct or indirect, consequential, incidental or punitive damages.
  • If you create a link to a page of the Heritage Skills USA website, it is at your own risk, and the exclusions and limitations set forth herein apply to your use of this website by linking to it. Heritage Skills USA does not monitor content of websites which are linked to or from this website.  Heritage Skills USA is not the publisher of such content.  Heritage Skills USA is not responsible for the privacy policies or security practices of any linked websites, and users should familiarize themselves with those privacy policies and security practices before disclosing personal information.

Privacy Policy

  • Heritage Skills USA attendee information will not be disclosed to any third party, other than appropriate authorities, if legally required to do so.  We will not sell, share, or rent your personal information to any third party.  Any emails sent by Heritage Skills USA will only be in connection with the either the current or future Heritage Skills USA events.

Media Access

  • Heritage Skills USA is a private event for ticket holders, approved vendors, presenters, and paid or volunteer staff.  Heritage Skills USA is not “open to the public.”  No media outlets or media representatives will be allowed to attend, record, or report on the event without the expressed written consent and approval by Heritage Skills USA operators. Any such violation, will result in expulsion (even if  that media representative is a ticket holder) and will be subject to legal action and monetary awards for violation of attendee right to privacy.* 

Event Venues Policies


Heritage Skills USA will take place at the Vinton County Fairgrounds, On Guard Defense Gun Range, Raccoon Creek Outfitters, and Countryside Amish Stable. These are all private entities and private property. Each venue has its own specific set of policies, rules, and regulations that are separate from as well as in addition to any Old School Survival Boot Camp rules of attendance and participation. Click on the links above to read each venues terms of service to ensure you fully understand and agree to abide by them before purchasing a ticket to Heritage Skills USA  or securing lodging during the event. The Countryside Amish Stable rules and policies will be posted with the add on ticket for the Secrets of the Amish Farm Tour and must be read, fully understood, and agreed to adhere to before purchasing that particular add on ticket to the Heritage Skills USA events.

Heritage Skills USA Events Behavior Policies

  • Parking only in designated areas as directed by Heritage Skills USA staff. Designated handicap parking is for people with disabilities only and on a first come first serve basis.
  • No pets other than certified guide dogs are permitted in event venue areas. Read each lodging provider's policies on pets before booking a tent or RV space, cabin, or room. The Vinton County Fairgrounds dog policy pertaining to the campground is detailed on the website linked to above.
  • Children must be under adult supervision at all times.
  • No littering.
  • No reckless, illegal, or prohibited behavior at any Heritage Skills USA  event venue.
  • Attendees must follow any direction given by event staff pertaining  to rule following, parking, and behavior. Any failure to do so will result in being expelled from the event or the calling of law enforcement if necessary. Refunds will not be given in an attendee is expelled from the event. Refunds will not be given if any member of the attendee's family, party, or group choses to leave with them for any reason.


Refund Policy


  • Unless the entire Heritage Skills USA event is cancelled completely, no refunds will be given. We reserve the right to cancel the event at any time for any reason. There are no refunds due to “acts of God”, including but not limited to weather related events, such as hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding, rain, pandemics, etc. If you cannot or choose not to attend, for any reason, at any time, we will not refund payment.
  • You can transfer your ticket to a third party.
  • Heritage Skills USA  is  not responsible for cancellations or non-appearances by speakers, vendors or exhibitors, and no refund will be given on account thereof.

Limitation of Liability, Waiver, Release and Indemnification Agreement for Heritage Skills USA Event


1.  Purchase of an admission ticket and/or attendance at any Heritage Skills USA  event activity signifies my understanding and agreement to the terms set forth below.

2.  I acknowledge that participating in the Heritage Skills USA  event may involve physical activity and present a risk of  death, serious injury and property loss.  The risks may include, without limitation, (a) acts or omissions of Heritage Skills USA, Vinton County Fairgrounds, On Guard Defense Gun Range and Training Center, Raccoon Creek Outfitters, Countryside Stables, their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, independent contractors; (b) acts or omissions of other people, including, but not limited to, participants, volunteers, spectators, event sponsors, speakers, vendors and exhibitors; (c) weather; (d) natural conditions and hazards; (e) lack of hydration or food; and (f) contact with other participants at the Heritage Skills USA  event.

3.  I hereby assume all of risks of participating in the Heritage Skills USA event.

4.  I represent that I am physically fit for participation in the Heritage Skills USA event.

5.  I agree to abide by any decision of the organizers and event hosts to any aspect of my participation in this event, including their decision to suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever.

6.  I hereby consent to receive medical treatment that may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during the Heritage Skills USA event, with the full understanding and agreement that the neither Heritage Skills USA, Vinton County Fairgrounds, On Guard Defense Gun Range and Training Center, Racoon Creek Outfitters, or Countryside Stables undertakes to provide such treatment.

7.  I acknowledge that this Limitation of Liability, Waiver, Release and Indemnification Agreement will be relied upon by the Heritage Skills USA, and that the Heritage Skills USA would not sell me an admission ticket or allow me on the premises where the Heritage Skills USA event is being held without my acceptance of this Limitation of Liability, Waiver, Release and Indemnification Agreement.

8.  In consideration of the Heritage Skills USA selling me an admission ticket and permitting me to participate in the Heritage Skills USA event, for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors and assigns, I hereby:

(a) Waive, release, and discharge the Heritage Skills USA, Vinton County Fairgrounds, On Guard Defense Gun Range and Training Center, Raccoon Creek Outfitters, and Countryside Stables, their respective directors, officers, employee, agents and independent contractor, and all sponsors, vendors, speakers, exhibitors and volunteers, from any and all liability for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur in connection with me attending and participating in the Heritage Skills USA event, including traveling to and from the Heritage Skills USA event;

(b) Indemnify and hold harmless all entities or persons mentioned in this section from any and all liabilities or claims made by other individuals or entities as a result of my acts or omissions during the Heritage Skills USA event.
