Get ready for a full day of hands-on learning, creativity, and discovery at the Ohio Homeschool Science Fair + Nature STEM Event!
This exciting event is designed specifically for homeschool families who want more than just a traditional science fair. Alongside student science fair presentations, attendees will enjoy interactive STEM classes, nature-based activities, homesteading science workshops, and engaging make-and-take projects throughout the day.
Students may participate in the Science Fair by presenting an individual or family project in one of the approved categories. Each participant will take part in a short judge interview and receive ribbon grading, with overall awards presented in each age division and the family project category.
In addition to science fair presentations, families can enjoy:
• Owl pellet dissection
• Composting classes
• Bird feeder make-and-take projects
• Apple scraps vinegar making
• Slingshots course & knife history
• Nature science book and craft sessions
• STEM engineering activities
• Wind speed anemometer building
• Lightening bug building with OSU Extension
• Health information booth & family resources
And more classes and activities are still being added!
This is a relaxed, encouraging, homeschool-friendly environment where students can practice presenting their knowledge, engage in real-world science, and build confidence in a supportive setting.
Whether your child is a budding scientist, a hands-on learner, or simply loves exploring how things work, this event offers something for every age.
Come explore. Experiment. Discover.
