To secure an on-site camping spot for the Heritage Skills USA 2025 Homesteading Summit, visit the Vinton County Fairgrounds Camping Reservations Page. On-site camping is not required to attend the homesteading event - but an admission ticket to the event it. Camping reservations are NOT an admission ticket. Click on our Tickets tab in the menu bar to purchase tickets and on the Classes/Schedule page to view and register for classes.
Campsite at the fairgrounds do not necessarily have picnic tables or fire rings, it is best to bring your own ring and tables and chairs in case your site does not provide them. Full hook-up, water and electric, and primitive campsites are available. If you are looking for a cabin, hotel, or off-site camping options, please visit our Eat, Sleep, Play tab for links to local lodging and attractions.
Campers do not need to purchase a parking pass for the event. A single parking spot at the campsite is included with your reservation.
You can opt to purchase a golf cart permit (cart not included. Side-by-side ATV allowed but not 4-wheelers, dirt bikes etc.) Carts have to be drive by an adult only and are not permitted in the main event area where classes are located. They will have a designated parking spot next to the shower house, making the walk to and from classes far shorter and on level ground. Permits can be purchased by clicking on the Tickets tab, as well. Failure to follow all permit rules can result in expulsion from the event and property, forfeiting all admission ticket, camping, and class registration make and take fees.
